Setting the Cornerstone

We will open the Time Capsule on November 6, 2016!

Lana Hansen kept saying “I know there is a time capsule and here’s proof. Now go get it and let’s open her up.” OK, that may not be verbatim but you get the idea. On Friday September 23, Ray Fessler, Bill Guerry, and I proceeded to do Lana’s bidding. We sweated and strained for hours (oh my!) removing the cornerstone and plucking out the time capsule. We are excited that the capsule was there and that the church didn’t fall down. The time capsule will be opened at the all-congregational potluck dinner to be held on the afternoon of All Saints’ Day, November 6. We will display the capsule on Sunday mornings so you can look at it, shake it, and try to figure out what is in it. E-mail your guesses of what is in it to Tom@tlcms.org.

We will look into preparing another capsule so give us an idea what you think should be placed for future generations to enjoy. Send those suggestions to me at the same e-mail address. Look for details about the All Saints’ Dinner.
