Mark your calendar for May 21 worship!
Part of being a Community Following Jesus is to commit to being wise and faithful stewards of our personal resources and time. In the last few weeks, we held information meetings about the new ministry initiatives we have planned for 2017/2018.
The month of May is your opportunity to reflect, discern, and consider what your annual OneFund stewardship pledge will be for our next fiscal year, starting July 1.
Our new initiatives include an increase in Missions giving to 7.1% of contributions, continued investment in our staff with salary increases as well as professional development opportunities, continued development of mission opportunities in Guatemala and locally, funding a facility maintenance/ improvement fund as well as a capital building fund, investing in and strengthening our senior ministry, and possible expansion of ministry into DeSoto.
In order to move forward with these initiatives, we are asking you to prayerfully consider a 4% increase over your current giving. Pledge cards are available at the church office and online at tlcms.org. We will collect our sealed pledge cards during worship on May 21.
