Raised in Africa and now living in the United States, Deryck Box uses the depth of his cultural influences and experience to minister. His percussive acoustic guitar and vocals give him a style all his own. His love to worship propels him into deeper places of music that have attracted and moved both the believer and non-believer alike.

“God has given me a passion to see His people enter into the fullness of what He desires them to experience during worship. The Father’s desire for you is to experience the exchange that takes place in abandoned worship. My passion is to see all people groups experiencing realms in which: the lost are saved, the sick are healed, the bound are set free, and the kingdom of Heaven is released to us for encountering Jesus! I have a desire to see the arts released back to the church; expressions from heaven translated into dance, painting, and all other forms of creativity! Worship is an expression of who we are. Music and art are simply the vehicle God has given me to release His heart with others.”

Deryck’s love of music began as a small child and by high school developed into leading thousands in stadium worship at his home church in Nairobi, Kenya. Deryck returned to the United States in his late teens and in 2001 joined the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri, where he served on the senior leadership team as a worship leader. It was there that he set up a base of ministry with his three children. Deryck has traveled around the country for over a decade leading worship in local churches, conferences, and festivals. Most recently he serves as a worship leader in a small country church in Rushville, Missouri. As a forerunner, Deryck is committed to developing an artist community that is passionate about Jesus while delivering a message through music that awakens the heart of the Church. A message that calls all to know Jesus.
