Trinity Lutheran Church, Mission Campus

October 14, 2016 2pm

Have you ever wondered how the Lutheran Church came to America, its history in North America, and what makes Lutheran doctrine unique? A few weeks before we celebrate the Reformation of the Christian Church, Trinity’s Senior Ministry will sponsor a talk about these topics.

Trinity member Bob Bonn, as a youth, acted in a play presented by the Missouri Synod. The play was written in 1936 and dealt with the Lutheran Church coming to America and the reasons for it. After research was done, the manuscript was found. Bob will share memories of the play and reasons for the Lutheran Church moving overseas. Pastor Ron Flentgen will talk about the spread of the church in North America, followed by Pastor Mark Schulz discussing what makes Lutherans unique.

This is a special opportunity to learn about our Lutheran heritage and, as always, Trinity welcomes all who wish to join us. We are sending a special invitation to area Lutheran churches to join us. The program will probably last no more then an hour and a half. It will be presented Friday, October 14 at 2pm at Trinity’s Mission campus located at 5601 W. 62 Street in Mission, Kansas. We hope to see you there!

Blessings,
Tom Perry
