Our Mission and Philosophy

Rooted in Love, Growing in Grace

Mission

Trinity Lutheran Church Preschool supports the family by nurturing the growth of young children through developmentally appropriate experiences in a Christian environment.

Philosophy

Trinity Lutheran Church Preschool strives to provide cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual growth opportunities to young children by delivering a developmentally-appropriate curriculum, portfolios documenting developmental milestones and classrooms led by teachers trained in the field of education.

We pray “that children being rooted and established in love, may grasp how wide and long and how deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love, that surpasses knowledge, so that we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19

Teachers guide children through a scheduled day with time for constructive learning as well as a focus on fostering social-emotional and spiritual growth. Relationships with teacher, child, and family are fostered at drop-off and pick-up times and open and frequent communication between families and staff is encouraged.

Learning experiences are tailored to children’s individual needs with the goal of all children achieving developmental milestones. Our accredited school bases learning objectives and goals upon national early childhood standards. Teachers mold and form lessons that foster cognitive skills in math, science, language and reading, as well as social/emotional and problem-solving skills. Our Christian environment teaches children respect, manners, and discipline as well as basic Biblical stories from both the Old and New Testaments.

Each child’s progress is tracked through their years at Trinity Preschool with a learning portfolio, which parents and teacher discuss at conference times in October and February. Trinity works alongside the local school districts to provide for the needs of special education students as often as we are able to provide growth and success for the child. We strive for a peanut-free environment and aim to meet the needs of children with food allergies as often as possible.
