Volunteer!

Volunteer During VBS

VBS is our opportunity as the body of Christ to shine God’s light into our community by inviting and bringing others to share in this amazing week. It is also our opportunity to shine God’s light by serving the children and families at VBS. Consider sharing your gifts and talents with the children who enter our doors. There are any number of ways to be involved – pray for VBS, donate items, prepare and help decorate our environment for that WOW factor, become a crew leader for a group of five children, become a station assistant where you can assist a leader, help with check-in and registration each day, or assist in any number of other ways.

Volunteer for Decorating Crew

Join the FUN and amazing team that works to provide the WOW factor for VBS – the decorations! We are looking for those who love being creative and are ready to help provide an “out of this world” experience for all who enter our buildings at VBS this year. This crew will have the opportunity to help prepare the large set decorations, help plan the decorations needed for each area/station in our buildings at both the Shawnee and Mission campuses. They will help transport large set decorations shared with other churches, set up and take down at each location, and help set up Bible story decorations during the VBS week. For questions, contact Rhonda Synovec, rhonda@tlcms.org.

What is it all about?

Take kids deep into an amazing undersea adventure where they’ll experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God. At Scuba VBS, kids will be immersed in the Word and discover what living water is really all about!

SCUBA VBS is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences that kids see, hear, touch, and even taste. Every part of VBS helps children discover how faith can flow into real life. Kids will also discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life.

The Bible points for this VBS are:

  • Day 1 – God is a friend who’s real.
  • Day 2 – God is a friend who loves.
  • Day 3 – God is a friend we can trust.
  • Day 4 – God is a friend forever.
  • Day 5 – God is a friend for everyone
