Advent Devotionals
As we approach the Advent season, we invite you to join us in preparing our hearts and minds for the celebration of Christ’s birth. Starting on November 22-23, Advent devotionals will be available at each campus. We encourage you to stop by and pick up one, or even two devotionals, tailored to your specific needs.
These devotionals are designed to bring meaning and depth to your Christmas preparations, offering a daily journey of reflection, prayer, and hope. Whether you’re an adult, a youth, a child, or a family, we have resources that will resonate with your spiritual journey.
Let us come together as a community, taking this opportunity to grow closer to God and to one another during this special season. We look forward to sharing in this meaningful Advent journey with you.
This year’s Advent theme meets us where we are: on the move, on the way to Bethlehem through the maze of busy lives. God’s Word gives us instructions, signals, and signs that lead us on the way.

The Way to Bethlehem
Middle School through Adult
Advent is a season of movement—a journey of hope, peace, joy, and love that leads us to the manger in Bethlehem. This year, our theme, The Way to Bethlehem, meets us right where we are: on the move, navigating the maze of busy lives, longing for direction and meaning. God’s Word gives us what we need for the journey—instructions, signals, and signs that point the way.
Each week, we will walk together through the promises of Scripture:
· Week 1: Walk in His Paths (Isaiah 2:1–5) reminds us that God calls us to follow His ways, even when the world feels uncertain.
· Week 2: A Signal for the Peoples (Isaiah 11:1–10) shows us the hope that springs from the root of Jesse—a sign for all nations.
· Week 3: Return to Zion with Singing (Isaiah 35:1–10) invites us to rejoice as God restores and renews His people.
· Week 4: The Lord Will Give You a Sign (Isaiah 7:10–17) assures us that God’s promise is fulfilled in Emmanuel—God with us.
· Christmas Eve: Go to Bethlehem and See! (Luke 2:1–20) calls us to witness the miracle of Christ’s birth with hearts full of wonder.
These devotions, written by members of our congregation—young and old—are gifts of faith and reflection. As you read, pray, and ponder, may you find yourself drawn closer to the One who comes to us in humility and love. Let this Advent be more than a countdown to Christmas; let it be a pilgrimage of the heart, a journey that transforms us as we walk the way to Bethlehem together.
A Grand Miracle:
Daily Devotions for Advent
For Adults
Author: Joel Heck, Inspiration from C.S. Lewis
Quotes from C. S. Lewis, alongside Scripture, serve as our guides through these daily devotions for Advent. Each day, Lewis’ words point to the saving, life-changing aspects of Christ’s birth, which he calls “a Grand Miracle.” You will then be blessed with reflections by Lewis scholar Joel Heck on the concepts of the incarnation, Immanuel (God with Us), the Christ-figure of Narnia (from The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe) and Jesus’ mission to make us his new creation.
Look Around the Stable
Ages 3-7
Advent is a time for getting ready. Soon we will celebrate the birth of Christ, and we always look forward to the day when Christ will come again. When Jesus first came to earth, a stable was ready to be his birthplace. The devotions in this book invite you each day to “Look Around the Stable,” for so much of what you see there can help you get ready too. Ready? Look around the stable! Perfect for children ages 3 to 7.
