The week of April 11, fourteen of our eighth grade students were confirmed in their faith. Like Martin Luther’s “Here I Stand” speech 500 years ago, each student shared a statement of their faith, based upon their learning and study over the past three years. To allow space for all their family and friends to attend, the Rite of Confirmation was held in four different services that week, rather than our tradition of Sunday morning worship.
We as a congregation want to celebrate these students. A limited number of Confirmation booklets, including a picture of each student alongside their essay, are available at each campus. We invite you to use this as an opportunity to get to know these Confirmands!
