Trinity’s annual Advent Lessons and Carols is given this year in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of American organist and Lutheran composer Dr. Paul O. Manz. Paul Manz is largely credited with the creation of the modern hymn festival and over the course of his long and fruitful career he wrote and played thousands of hymn festivals. All the music utilized in this service was composed by Manz himself and will be interwoven with traditional Advent scripture lessons. We come together to give thanks and to praise God for the life and work of Paul Manz and for the lavish grace that has filled our lives so richly and abundantly as it is proclaimed through the gift of music. Soli Deo Gloria!
