Call Committee Begins Interviews

The Call Committee has continued its work reviewing the candidates provided for consideration and seeking God’s guidance throughout this process. After careful discussion, prayer, and evaluation, we have narrowed our list of candidates and are now beginning the next phase of interviews.

Over the past several weeks, committee members have spent significant time reviewing candidate information, considering the needs of our congregation, and discussing the qualities and gifts that will best serve Trinity Lutheran Church in this season of ministry. We are grateful for the thoughtful and prayerful approach each member has brought to the process.

We have now identified a smaller group of pastors with whom we would like to have initial interviews. These conversations will give us the opportunity to learn more about each candidate’s ministry experience, leadership style, preaching and teaching philosophy, and sense of God’s calling for future service.

As we enter this important stage, we ask for your continued prayers. Please pray for the pastors participating in the interview process, for their families and congregations, and for the members of the Call Committee. Most importantly, pray that the Holy Spirit would guide every conversation and decision, leading us to the pastor God has already chosen to serve as our next Lead Pastor.

We are encouraged by the progress being made and will continue to keep the congregation informed as the process moves forward.

Call Committtee Reviews Candidate Lists

The Call Committee has received the list of pastoral candidates from the District and is ready to begin the next phase of the call process.

Our first committee meeting is scheduled for September 1, when members will begin reviewing candidate information and discussing those we would like to invite for interviews. This is an important milestone as we continue seeking God’s guidance in identifying the right individual to serve as Trinity’s third pastor.

We ask the congregation to continue keeping the Call Committee, the candidates, and this entire process in your prayers as we move forward.

Meet Your Call Committee

The re-organized call committee for the third Pastor at Trinity has begun meeting. They will submit paperwork to the Kansas district office on July 1 requesting a new call list. Please pray for the committee as they meet and for District President Panzer as he gathers names of candidates for our call list.

Request for Nominations: Third Pastor

The process continues! We are now opening nominations for the position of third pastor for Trinity. There are two sources from which we consider potential candidates. One is a list of names compiled by Kansas District President Panzer. The other is you, the congregation.

This is your chance to nominate someone for possible inclusion in our list of names for call consideration. Perhaps you have visited other LCMS churches, or are a former member of another LCMS church, at which you observed a pastor that you think is committed to the written Word, and possesses the compassion, prayerfulness, temperament, interpersonal skills, and presence in the pulpit that will serve us well.

Nominations will be accepted through Monday, June 29.

If so, there are three avenues for you to access the form:

• Complete the form online, save it to your computer and send it as an email attachment to gretchen@tlcms.org; or,

• Complete the form on your computer, print it out and place it in one of the drop boxes or mail it to the Mission church office to the attention of Gretchen Hollman; or

• Print the form, complete it by hand, drop it into the drop box or mail it to the Mission church office for the attention of Gretchen Hollman.
