Lent, Holy Week, and Easter is the season of contemplation, repentance, reflection, and celebration. We journey together in this season as we explore and demonstrate our faith in a variety of ways appropriate for the season, culminating in our joyous celebration of Christ’s resurrection from the dead and our assurance of salvation.
The 7pm Mission Campus Good Friday Tenebrae service this year will incorporate A Service of Darkness, a musical work by Dale Wood, sung by the Trinity Choir with organ accompaniment. This Service of Darkness commemorates the suffering and death of Christ and is based on the ancient Tenebrae.
As a part of our observance of Maundy Thursday, 17 April, at the Mission campus, both services will be preceded by a dessert reception at 11am and 6pm featuring a sweet treat served in the foyer. Please join us for this unique time of food and conversation, followed by traditional worship with Holy Communion.
Jesus and his disciples made plans to celebrate the Passover meal and now you can too! Make your plans to join us on Maundy Thursday, April 17, at 6 pm for a special Seder meal, as we celebrate the Passover the way Jesus and his disciples would have celebrated it.
