This weekend, a group of soon-to-be High School Freshmen will be celebrating the rite of Confirmation surrounded by their families and classmates! As we are not able to physically gather together as a congregation for this event, a video will be released of the students sharing their faith essays; this way we will still be able to celebrate this wonderful milestone with them.
Let us be praying for these students as they take this next step in their faith journey…
Father God,
We thank You for this time of joy, hope, and celebration. This Saturday will be a day of deepening faith and growing as followers of You. We pray that the students continue to be strengthened in their relationship with You. Remind the students this week, but also every day, that they have been given not a spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control. In their relationship with You, the students have received Your Spirit when You adopted them as Your own child. May these students be guided by Your Word and Your ways,
Amen.
