On February 26, twenty middle school students and seven adults gathered for Bible study, games, and food for our annual Confirmation retreat! The theme of the retreat was Hope in Christ. Over the course of three sessions, students talked about our Hope in Christ through all seasons of life. Students also competed in the first annual Confirmation Olympics. The self-named teams of Tuvalu Termites, Adanac, Norway Nights, and Quale fought through six events. Make sure to ask one of the students who participated about Human Curling, singing together, and Jonah!
Retreats are a critical component of our Confirmation Instruction process. The time spent together with peers, connecting with our adult leaders, and in God’s Word is indispensable. A big shout-out to the parents who brought their students, to the adults who spent the day playing games, and to the students who were so fun to be around! We are already looking forward to next year!
