A Community Following Jesus: Bible Studies

As a “Community Following Jesus” we cherish opportunities to get together with one another to encourage each other in the walk of faith. Below, you’ll find several opportunities for such gatherings. Each of these groups is open to new participants; each will welcome you with great warmth, happy to receive you as a partner in the faith journey.
New groups are also encouraged. If you have a topic you’d like to pursue or group you would like to start, contact Pastor Benjamin Vineyard, benjamin@tlcms.org, to make it happen.

The Gospel of Luke
This group enjoys studying the depths of the Scriptures in order to really know what’s going on in God’s story. We enjoy good conversation, good questions, and a good sense of community each Sunday morning. We are currently studying the Gospel of Luke. You’re invited!

50+ Senior Adult Group: The Gospel of John
The 50+ Seniors group is all about friendship, community, and spiritual nourishment. Along with wonderful fellowship gatherings, this year’s 50+ Bible Class will begin with a study of the Gospel of John taught by Pastor Ron Flentgen. Martin Luther referred to John as “The one, tender, real crown-Gospel of them all.” Indeed it is! We invite you to join us on Wednesdays at the Mission Campus at 10:15 a.m. A kick-off event will be held on September 13. The study of John begins September 20.

Men’s Bible Study: “Authentic”
The Shawnee Men’s Group invites all men to join in experiencing the powerful seven-session program titled “Authentic” from September 5 to October 17. Produced by pastor and author James MacDonald, this video and discussion series helps participants become authentic followers of Jesus. The group meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8pm in room 201 at the Shawnee campus.

FellowShipmates Bible Study and Fellowship
We enjoy hanging out and good conversation. We meet every other week at Trinity’s Mission campus for Bible study and friendship. We also strive to have at least one social/community service event per month and try to plan those as a group so all interests are met. Financial Peace University
Learn God’s ways of handling money with Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University! The class is being taught by Trinity member Rex Garrelts. Membership kits are available at the first class for $90 or online. Childcare is available for $40 per family for the 9-week session. Reservations for childcare are required by September 1.
