The 7pm Mission Campus Good Friday Tenebrae service this year will incorporate A Service of Darkness, a musical work by Dale Wood, sung by the Trinity Choir with organ accompaniment. This Service of Darkness commemorates the suffering and death of Christ and is based on the ancient Tenebrae. After each of the Seven Words from the Cross from scripture, a candle will be extinguished, and the choir will sing one movement of A Service of Darkness. As we contemplate Christ’s suffering and death, we will also hear spoken reflections from our pastor and have time for silent meditation and congregational singing. This service will take place at 7 pm on Good Friday, April 18, at the Mission campus.
