Midweek Lenten Sermon Theme

Lent is a time to focus on the life and suffering of Jesus Christ. As we focus on the life and suffering of Jesus, we are called to follow His example of loving God and loving people. Through a study of the Lord’s prayer we will learn how to more faithfully love God and love people in our daily lives.

Sundays in Lent Sermon Theme

The Christian faith is all about Jesus. During the Sundays of Lent and Holy Week we will be focusing our hearts and minds on who Jesus is through a focus on Jesus’ seven “I Am” statements in the Gospel of John.
In Exodus, God appears to Moses at the burning bush and names himself, “I Am who I Am.” In the Gospel of John, Jesus draws on this story in Exodus and gives us seven names to call him, seven “I Am” statements.
