Fifty-six students, 18 with Trinity, spent June 6-11 in the Rocky Mountains at Lutheran Valley Retreat. Our theme while at LVR this year was, “Called.” We talked about the many things we are called but how, ultimately, we are called children of God.

During our week in the mountains, students spent time in God’s Word through Bible study and student-led devotions. They were challenged through team building initiatives and high ropes courses. We ended our week with a sunrise hike before coming back to Kansas.

Thank you to the students, parents, and congregation supporters who make this trip possible for so many of our high school students. God blessed us through the time we were given together!

“LVR is always is one of the best experiences of my life. Going up in the mountains for a whole week with the people I love and growing in my faith is an amazing opportunity. I loved every single second of LVR, hiking up cedar mountain and making so many new friends. I’m already looking forward to next year to go up on that mountain and spend a week with Jesus.”
