A few months ago, we reported on the story of how Drew Jaime age 16, and Leo Schlesselman age 91 came together for  woodworking project. Drew was anxious to learn of woodworking skills and Leo was eager to pass on his knowledge to Drew. The project they decided to pursue is a mobile bookcase with a beautiful cross and worship focal point. There were a number of challenges along the way and a safe environment was used. How uplifting it is to see how two different generations are able to work together and share their knowledge and skill. Together they created a useful and beautiful piece of religious furniture.

Congratulations, Drew and Leo, and thank you for the example you set for us all!

The cross and furniture are in the youth room at the Mission campus.
