Faith Milestones and Grade Levels They Are Taught
The Lord’s Prayer
This class is for the toddlers through first grade children.
The toddler through Preschool students learn how to pray the prayer each week, along with a simple meaning of the prayer.
Our Kindergarten through first grade students dive deeper into the different prayer petitions each week and learn what it means to pray these words.
The Books of the Bible
This class is for our second and third grade students. The Books of the Bible curriculum is a two-year program. In year one we explore the Old Testament and year two we explore the New Testament. We did the New Testament curriculum this year. Children will not just learn the books of the Bible in order, but they will dig into scripture to explore how to live out God’s Word in their daily lives.
The Ten Commandments
The fourth grade students at Mission and the fourth and fifth grade students at Shawnee learned the Ten Commandments. They learn what each commandment means and how to apply the commandments to their daily lives.
The Apostles’ Creed
The fifth grade students at Mission learned the Apostles’ Creed and what it means when they say “I Believe.” We are excited to share this milestone experience with you and your family.
