For over 10 years, the Missions Committee has sponsored a Mini Grant Program to fund a limited number of service and ministry projects, each with a maximum amount of $2,500.
This program financially supports projects and programs where Trinity members are already involved. The Committee encourages proposals from youth in the congregation, as well as proposals for smaller amounts.
Some goals of the program include:
- Seeking God’s will in the use of our common resources as we strive to care for our neighbors
- Identifying and supporting those social services/ ministries that already have Trinity member support and involvement
- Discovering new opportunities for member involvement.
Grants were awarded to fund these diverse ministries:
- Lutheran Bible Translators
- Concordia Mission Institute’s Kids Camp
- Immanuel Community Outreach Association (ICOA)
- Hope Market Gardner
- Ministry of Hope
- Mission Community Food Pantry
- KC Metro Men’s Chorus
- CASA-Access to Resources for Youth in Foster Care
- Faith Lutheran, KCK, Happy Bottoms Program (ICOA)
- Lutheran High School of Kansas City
Through your generous contributions, Trinity is able to have a significant impact in our community and beyond.
The Missions Committee appreciates the participation of all those who applied for mini grants and also the diligent work of the Mini Grant Evaluation Committee of Trinity members who made recommendations on the dispersal of the funds.
