Freewill Offering
This summer, Ruth Maita and her family will be on a brief break from their LCMS missionary work in Puerto Rico. Our Saviour Lutheran Church (4153 Rainbow Blvd, KCKS 66103) will host them, and area church members, on June 17 for an evening meal. Ruth and her husband will be sharing photos and stories of their work. The Maita family lives in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico where Ruth’s husband, Rev. Gustavo Maita, is pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (Iglesia Luterana Principe de Paz). Their three children are ages 1-5. There will be a complimentary dinner (taco bar and dessert) and program on Tues, June 17, from 5:30-7:30pm in Our Saviour’s basement Fellowship Hall. The church is just south of KU Medical Center. A freewill offering for the family will be collected (cash or checks payable to “Mission Central” with “Ruth Maita” in the memo line.
