Ninth grade. No longer a middle schooler, but not too sure where they fit in in high school either. As a parent, it can be difficult to watch your child go through so many changes. Their friend group may change, hair style, clothes, music, hobbies-it may feel like they are trying to become a whole new person!

The attached article walks parents through what to except in ninth grade. One topic that stuck out in particular was how important a community is to ninth graders. There is no better place to find a great community than within your church!

If you are a parent of a high school freshman and are hoping they find a group of friends who have similar values and beliefs, then suggest to them to join Trinity’s Youth Group. We meet Sunday evenings and enjoy spending time in God’s Word, playing games, and just hanging out with each other. It is a great community to be a part of and we would love to have your high schooler be a part of it, too!

“No one has more influence on their spiritual lives than their parents and no one knows their story better than a parent. They need mom and dad even if they pretend like they don’t.”
