UPDATE: Rhonda’s surgery went well with no complications. Continue to pray for her recovery.

Dear Trinity Members,
I want to express my sincere thanks for all your prayers and words of encouragement regarding my upcoming surgery and recovery. I have truly been blessed by all of you and am so grateful to be surrounded by such a wonderful family of faith at Trinity.
I wanted to provide a health update for the congregation. My surgery date was moved and will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025. As I shared previously, the full recovery period is 8–10 weeks, with no lifting. I am hoping to return to light duty around 5–6 weeks. I will be hospitalized for the first week or so following surgery and will then be staying with the Wilkinson family upon release until I am able to return home on my own.
Many of you have asked how you can help during this time. First, please continue praying for God’s comfort, strength, and peace, and for successful surgery and healing. Prayer is so powerful, and God has provided His strength and peace throughout this journey.
People have also asked if they can provide meals and how to do so. Meals can be left in the freezers of both the Shawnee and Mission campuses. There will be designated people who can pick them up and deliver them to me. I will be focused on my recovery, so I will limit the number of people I am in contact with during this time. I will provide updates to the staff as they are available.
I continue to take comfort from Psalm 46:1, which declares, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble,” and 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God.” I trust in the Lord for all things and give thanks daily for all of you and your support.
