Trip Details

At the last meeting, students and leaders worked together to make a lot of decisions for our trip.

Students decorated clothespins to bring with us.

One of the traditions of the gathering is to clip each other’s bags with clothespins and try to collect as many different states and countries as possible. We are excited to share our Trinity Lutheran pins with as many people as possible.

Sightseeing

Fun options: our group will have one main opportunity for sightseeing! We are going to explore Jackson Square, the Cathedral, and of course beignets at Cafe Du Monde.

T-Shirts

The students will have a Gathering shirt, Kansas District, Trinity Youth ministry shirt. In the meeting we voted on our other four days. First, pajama day for traveling, college day, summer/Hawaiian day, and neon shirts for glow night. It should be a fun week of outfits!

Onsite Service Project

Our group will be serving Forged by Fire, a Lutheran RSO. Here is their website to see more about how they serve and if you are interested in supporting their ministry.

Prayer Partners

Shareholders, we would like to encourage you to send in a letter or email to Beth for the students to receive while we are on the trip. Please submit your letter or email by July 13th. The students do not know we are doing this; it will be a fun surprise for them while we are experiencing the Gathering. Think of a Bible verse, your own personal Gathering experience, or something else encouraging for the students. I would love to have as many as possible for our group!

Closing Prayer as we finalize details and prepare for our trip, almost one month away!

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this opportunity—to travel, to grow, to serve, and to experience Your Church in a powerful way. As we prepare for our time at the Youth Gathering, fill us with excitement and peace. Help us to see You in the fun moments, the quiet ones, and even the unexpected ones. Guide our leaders, bless our friendships, and open our hearts to what You want to teach us. Keep us safe, make us bold in faith, and remind us always that we belong to You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
