This past Christmas the seniors of our congregation made the Christmas aftermath a very special time. The Shawnee seniors showed their generosity by contributing to a freewill offering taken during their Christmas brunch. Your contributions were given to the preschool to help with some of the young families. Enough funds were raised to significantly help four different families. Three families were helped with tuition and one family suffering from a tragic loss will be helped in some way. In preschool director Jo Ann Emerson’s words, “Just helping others is wonderful. But helping families immediately after the Christmas holiday is very impactful. All are very appreciative. On behalf of these families, THANK YOU!” The 50+ Bible class has taken a freewill offering at the Oktoberfest and the Christmas party. The money raised at these events went to help defray costs of a visiting choir from Germany. When speaking to Deacon Tim Reaman, he offers his thanks for the generous gifts. Once again Trinity shows a caring heart as it continues to be a “Community Following Jesus.”
