The Call Committee for the Youth Family Minister position has been hard at work. After a series of video interviews, we extended invitations to two candidates to visit Trinity. The first visit was completed this past weekend. Throughout the visit, the committee, staff, and those who met this candidate were impressed with the overall ministry skills of this individual as well as the ease of communication with others throughout the visit.
The committee was recently informed the second candidate no longer feels they are called to leave their present position. This presented us with a question: should we seek other candidates to interview for the sake of comparison, or should we move forward with our first candidate?
After thoughtful discussion and prayerful discernment, the call committee feels strongly that our first candidate is an outstanding fit for our Youth Family Minister position. The call committee overwhelmingly recommends this candidate for the Youth Family Minister position, and recommends that the congregation extend a call to him at our January 28th Congregational Assembly.
More details about the candidate and our reasons for recommending him will be made available at the Congregational Assembly. As always, feel free to contact any member of the Call Committee.
