Passing on the Faith to Future Generations
Family Life Ministry at Trinity gives families the tools they need to grow the whole family in faith. We walk with families from the very beginnings of life and faith through baptism and dynamically partner with parents to guide the training of children for a lifetime of faith. Parents are trained in the meaning and relevance of baptism as their children are welcomed into the faith family. Little ones learn Bible stories and learn how much their Savior loves them. Youth learn resilience, about how to live their faith in a world that presses in on them from all sides. Teens find enduring friendships by participating in youth events. Families are strengthened and Christ watches over them all.
Train up a child in the way he should go;

Confirmation Retreat Save-the-Date!
January 31st – February 1st, enjoy a winter retreat at Tall Oaks Retreat Center in Linn, Kansas. This year we will be diving into what it means that our Hope is in Christ. Students will be given the chance to get to know each other and their leaders better. It’s a great opportunity for us to really dive into our faith and what we believe while having fun and being at a beautiful retreat center!
Youth: Sunday Morning Series!
Sunday Morning series are changing! Stay tuned with what series your group is going through by checking in with our awesome leaders. Mission youth Bible study meets in the high school room for both middle and high school students. At Shawnee, the middle school students meet in the youth room, and the high school students meet in the Youth Office next door.
The Lord’s Prayer in Confirmation
Confirmation students are wrapping up learning about The Lord’s Prayer! They have taken a look petition by petition, learning what the God’s Word says about prayer through the Catechism, and applying it to our lives in 2024. Our Next series will take us into the Epistles and the Early Church! Pray for these students as they continue to dive into God’s Word with their small groups and learn more about the foundations of our Lutheran faith.
