Come and visit the sixth annual Saint Paul Christkindlesmarkt in Concordia, Missouri. Come the weekend of December 12-13th. The market will be open from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, Dec. 12th and from 11am to 7pm on Saturday, December 13th.
This is a traditional German Christmas Market, with stands and stalls decorated with lights and greenery, with live performances throughout the day and evening, vendors with all kinds of specialty wares, and activities for children. Vendors will be selling a variety of things, including handmade crafts, Christmas decorations, jewelry, candles, glassworks, metal works, food, drink and much more! You can shop for unique and unusual gifts and at the same time support your local community. In addition to lots of shopping, you can also purchase traditional food at the market, including roasted nuts, Bratwurst, and much, much more! You will also be able to purchase hot drinks sold in Glühwein mugs. KC Bier, one of the sponsors of the market, will be selling authentic German beer; we will also be making an authentic Glühwein from a recipe from Bavaria. This hot spiced wine is the most popular and traditional hot drink of the German Christmas markets. Live performances on the stage will be programmed throughout the market.
For children, the Concordia Christkind will have a story time with the children, telling both THE Christmas story as well as other Christmas fairy tales. Children can come and try their hand at decorating candles (great gifts for parents and grandparents). Carriage-sleigh rides on Friday will be available during specific times. There will also be other activities for families.
