During the January 25, 2026, Congregational Assembly we said we would summarize in the eNews the Executive Committee’s part of the presentation. In our last message we covered the overall state of the church, church finances and staffing. This message covers membership, attendance, and service/volunteerism.
Membership and Attendance
Regarding membership and attendance, we received 55 new members in 2025, with total membership at 1579 at 12-31-2025 compared to 1535 at the end of 2024. On average, we worshipped 430 people each weekend in the 2025 calendar year at our two sites. This past Christmas Eve we saw a 12% increase in attendance in person and a 103% increase in online views from the previous year.
Service and Volunteerism
Regarding service and volunteerism, we face challenges in operating the church. Our church needs us.
Our volunteerism reduced significantly during the Covid pandemic. It has also taken a hit with the aging of many of our volunteers. Some tasks previously performed by volunteers have either fallen by the wayside or been picked up by our stretched office staff.
