What a profound and joyful mystery it is that Jesus would shed his blood for us! This series will guide us from the Gospel of John as we meditate on who Jesus is and what He has come to do for us in His life, ministry, death, and resurrection. We will be moved each week to give glory and praise to God for the salvation He has won for us on the cross.

Lenten & Holy Week Sermon Series: Glory to the God Who Bleeds
This year during Ash Wednesday, the Sundays in Lent, our midweek services, and all of Holy Week, our congregation will journey through a powerful new sermon series titled:
“Glory to the God Who Bleeds”
Based on the Gospel of John and inspired by the song “God Who Bleeds” from The Songwriter Initiative
Throughout these ten services, we will meditate on the breathtaking mystery of a God who loves us so deeply that He takes on our flesh, walks our path, bears our suffering, and sheds His blood for our salvation. Each week we focus on a different way God reveals His heart in Jesus—who He is, what He has done, and what He continues to do for His people.
Series Themes
Ash Wednesday: Glory to the God Who Loves
Lent 1: Glory to the God Who Becomes Flesh and Blood
Lent 2: Glory to the God Who Knows Us
Lent 3: Glory to the God Who Tells the Truth
Lent 4: Glory to the God Who Heals
Lent 5: Glory to the God Who Weeps
Palm Sunday: Glory to the God Who Rides a Donkey
Maundy Thursday: Glory to the God Who Gives Himself
Good Friday: Glory to the God Who Bleeds
Easter Sunday: Glory to the God Who Breathes
Across these weeks we will hear from the Gospel of John as Jesus reveals Himself—
the God who loves, knows, heals, weeps, serves, suffers, dies, and rises again.
Why This Series?
Lent invites us to slow down, repent, reflect, and return to the God who saves.
This series leads us step by step to the cross and the empty tomb, continually echoing the refrain:
“Forever all my praise will be: Glory to the God who bleeds.”
We invite everyone—members, guests, families, and friends—to walk this sacred path with us as we prepare our hearts for Holy Week and the joy of Easter.
