A Message from Trinity’s Executive Committee

Earlier this week Pastor Mark announced to the congregation his intention to retire in January of 2024. He shared this intention with the Executive Committee a few months ago, and we have already begun working on a transition plan.

The Executive Committee has been blessed to work with Pastor Mark over the last several years. We appreciate his leadership and he will be missed. We wish him all the best in this next chapter of his life.

Please mark your calendars for an important pre-call meeting on Wednesday, May 24, at 7pm at the Mission campus. Kansas District President Justin Panzer will join us to explain the steps involved in finding a new senior pastor.

In the meantime, congregational president Patti Hare has appointed Steve Henslee to be the chair of the Senior Pastor Call Committee. Steve and his wife, Julia, attend the Saturday night service where Steve serves as a reader and communion server, and both also serve on the leadership team for the Growing in God’s Great Grace capital campaign to expand the Shawnee campus. Additional committee members representing both campuses will be appointed in the next few weeks.
