Lent and Holy Week Schedule
"By His Wounds We Are Healed"Watch for the Lenten worship video email link on Wednesday mornings.
We will once again begin our Lenten journey starting on Ash Wednesday, February 26, which marks the beginning of the forty-day season of Lent preceding Easter. God created us to experience joy in communion with him and with all humanity and to live in harmony with all his creation. But sin has separated us from God, from one another and from his creation, and so we do not enjoy the life our Creator intended for us. Also, by our sin we grieve our Father, who does not desire that we should come under his judgment, but that we turn to him and live. As disciples of the Lord Jesus we are called to struggle against everything that leads us away from love of God and one another. Repentance, fasting, prayer, and works of love—the disciplines of Lent—help us to focus our Lenten journey towards spiritual renewal and growth. Our midweek Lenten services will be based on the following theme this year: By His Wounds We Are Healed: A Series of Services for the Season of Lent.
