Program Description

Our Multi-Age Program provides unique benefits for three- to five-year-olds including: leadership skills, motivation for younger children, problem solving opportunities, and an enhanced sense of “family.” This program is often recommended for children who are older but attending preschool for the first time. Students are taught according to their individual needs. In this class, the motto is the sky is the limit!

Circle Time: Students gather and have a daily share time then move on to interactive activities focusing on the alphabet, math concepts, rhyming, and more. This portion of the day ends with a read aloud based upon the theme (fiction and nonfiction literature).

Worship: A special part of the day, worship is held in the classroom and in the sanctuary depending upon the day. The Pastor, Director, and classroom teachers coordinate lessons that share the Good News of Jesus.  Bible stories, memory verses, songs, and prayer help your child grow in the Lord.

Center Time: Students self-select from a variety of centers including art, puzzles and games, and sensory table. The teacher may be found at centers interacting with the children or pulling small groups to the tables for focused learning activities. Students are grouped by ability, not strictly by age. Maximum class size is 12.

Self-serve Snack: Your child will become more independent and confident each day by practicing Important skills like hand washing, praying, pouring, scooping, and cleaning.

Large Motor Activities: Weather-permitting, our classes play outside on the playground. With balance beams, trikes, slides, and a sandbox, each child is sure to find an activity that interests him or her. They think it is PLAY but we know this is the time when they can develop large motor and fine motor skills. Raining or snowing? No worries, we plan indoor large motor activities, too.

Table Time: Your child will get a taste of traditional school by participating in whole class activities. Activities may include math journals, learning games, or handwriting practice and maximize the attention span of this age group.
