God Comes… in the Past, Present, and Future
Saturday, December 10, 5:30 pm, Mission Campus

Please join us for Trinity’s annual Advent Lessons and Carols service. This service of seasonal music and moving readings from Holy Scripture is a spiritual oasis in the midst of the busy holiday hubbub, offering time for reflection, meditation, and peace. This year’s service, led by the Trinity Choir, Trinity Handbells, flutist Courtney Jacob, and guest violinist Joshua Kendle, will continue to explore our Advent “time” theme using a quote by Gail Ramshaw. “God comes, in the past in the history of Israel and the incarnation of Jesus, in the present in the word and sacrament of each Sunday, and in the future at the end of all things.” This collapsing of past, present, and future (the already and the not yet) is especially present in Advent. The service will include beloved Advent hymns as well as music by J.S. Bach, Paul Manz, Karen Marrolli, Anne Krentz Organ, and Carl Smith. The offering at this service will support Trinity’s ministry of Music and the Arts. The offering will support Trinity’s ministry of Music and the Arts. A reception will follow the service.
