New Online Giving System
Trinity is rolling out some exciting changes and the first one happens now! Trinity is switching away from VANCO for our online giving and moving to Pushpay. Pushpay is the parent company of our Trinity Cloud system. Because of this merger and transition, you will experience greater control over your giving.
Call Committee Shawnee Update – Interviewing Four Candidates
Our committee has reviewed all the candidates on our call list and narrowed down the list to those with whom we are interested in having initial virtual interviews. The committee met last week and discussed the call list and will be reaching out to four candidates. We are meeting this week to finalize questions for the interviews that will be conducted in the coming weeks.
Mission Call Committee Update – List Narrows to Four
The call committee has been busy and has completed their reviews of the pastor information forms (PIF) and self-evaluation tools (SET). We met this week and selected the pastors to be initially interviewed on zoom. Dates for those interviews are being set up with these pastors.
Mission Trip Share Night
July 28, 6:30-8:00pm, Lower level of Shawnee Campus, Snacks and Treats provided | Two weeks ago, a group of high school students and adults went on a Mission Trip from Trinity. We are hosting a “Share Night” for the students and adults to share about our trip and how God worked through the time we spent in South Dakota.

DCE Celebration Recap
On Sunday, June 30, Trinity celebrated DCE Day in worship. Blessed with a rich tradition of eight DCEs (Director Christian Education) in our history, including our current Rhonda Synovec and Beth Stephens, we welcomed other DCEs in the area to a special worship service and potluck luncheon. We are so very thankful for their far-reaching ministry impact.
MLM Christmas in July
Metro Lutheran Ministries (MLM) needs your help in making Christmas a little brighter for the 1,000 families who will be shopping at the Christmas Store. Please help by taking a tag from the Christmas Palm tree in the narthex and bringing a gift by July 31.
Shawnee Lead Pastor June 27 Call Committee Update
The Call Committee for Lead Pastor at the Shawnee campus has received a list of twelve names for consideration from the Kansas District. The Shawnee Call Committee is in the process of reviewing the list of candidates, discussing who would best fit the unique needs of the Shawnee campus, and meeting to narrow the list down to those with whom we want to have initial virtual interviews.
Mission Call Committee June 27 Update
The call team members have been working on finalizing questions for initial phone or video interviews. We have received the final listing of candidates that the District President has approved. There are ten pastors on our listing, of which five of them are also on the Shawnee list.

11 Trinity Students participated in the Kansas District High School Summer Camp at Lutheran Valley Retreat!
The week focuses on team building challenges, Bible study, and enjoying the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Trinity participates in this event each year and we encourage all of 8th graders to go because of the significant faith-impacting experience.

That’s a Wrap: A Look at the Preschool Year
Trinity Lutheran Church Preschool wrapped up another school year on May 21st. During the 2023-2024 school year, the preschool served 77 families and graduated 46 Pre-K students. With a staff of eight – director, assistant, aide and five classroom teachers – the preschool worked to fulfill its mission of rooting children in Jesus’ love and helping them grow through His grace.
