True North VBS Recap – Trusting Jesus in This Wild World
True North VBS took kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure, where the Northern Lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trekked the tundra, they explored how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!

August 1 Construction Update
Road construction has begun at the Shawnee campus! There is one lane of traffic along Midland Drive. Please be safe when entering/leaving the church. Painting and new carpet is almost complete in the sanctuary. The new restrooms have tile and paint. Soon, work on the sidewalk along Midland drive and along the front of the building will be starting.

Mission Campus Call Committee August 1 Update
The Mission Call Committee will complete the last of our planned zoom call interviews this week. The committee will meet after the interviews to determine which candidate(s) should be invited to an onsite visit. The candidate(s) invited will meet with the committee, the Senior Pastor, and the Executive Committee.
Great American Giveaway Thank You
A big THANK YOU from the Giveaway Committee to everyone who helped make the Great American Giveaway a huge success! We provided much-needed items to a lot of community members and collected almost $300 for the Mission Food Pantry!
Shawnee Call Committee Update – Interviews in Progress
The call committee for Lead Pastor – Shawnee Campus has narrowed the list of candidates down based on the criteria set by the congregation and the committee. We are looking for the man who will be the best fit for the specific needs of the Shawnee campus. We are in the midst of our online interviews, the first two this week followed by another two online interviews the following week.

Confirmation Registration
We are excited to start another year of confirmation classes! To help us prepare, please follow the link below to register your enrollment for the new season. Confirmation class is open to all students beginning sixth through eighth grade who would like to learn more about faith and what it means to be a Lutheran Christian. Please register by September 1. There will be an orientation meeting and a kickoff event in September.
