Back-to-School Blessing Walk
Families, you’re invited to take part in a special Blessing Walk to prayerfully prepare for the new school year!
📍 Shawnee Campus – August 17
📍 Mission Campus – August 24
(Scheduled on opposite campuses from the parent meetings)
This self-guided prayer walk is designed for families of all ages and stages to do together. It takes about 10 minutes and offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect, pray, and invite God’s guidance for the year ahead.
Diaper and Baby Wipes Collection
During the month of January, we are collecting disposable diapers and baby wipes for Advice and Aid Pregnancy Center’s “Connections” program. Advice and Aid assists women and families facing an unplanned pregnancy by caring for them before, during, and after the birth of their children.
Trinity’s Inclement Weather Policy
With the onset of winter weather, we want to take this opportunity to remind you of Trinity’s long-standing policy regarding weather cancellations.
Christmas Carol Celebration
Please join us at all services, both campuses, this weekend for Christmas Carol Celebration services (Dec. 28-29). We will sing familiar carols, hear scripture readings telling the Christmas story, and celebrate Holy Communion. Bring your family and friends!
Call Committee Update: New Call List!
The Call Committee recently received a new list of eight names from the District President for consideration. The committee will review information for each candidate and will meet in January to determine which candidates we would like to contact for interviews. Please continue to pray for the committee, our congregation, and those pastors God will lead us to contact.
New Member Class in January
If you or someone you know is interested in joining our “Community Following Jesus” here at Trinity, please email Pastor Luke (luke@tlcms.org) to let him know of said interest. He is forming a new member’s class that will meet for four weeks on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm starting on January 14th. The class will be offered as both an in-person as well as online course.
Middle School Creation Series
Starting January 12th, the middle school students at Shawnee will be going through a three-week series on God’s Design for Creation. This is a great series for students to bring questions regarding what we believe about the start of the world, God’s role in creation, and why it matters for our lives. This is designed for students in 6th-8th grade and will be led by Bill Peterson.

Youth ICOA Service Recap
A group of youth and young adults served on Sunday morning at Immanuel Community Outreach Association (ICOA) in Kansas City, Kansas. We helped clean up around the property and divided up a large pasta donation. After serving and learning more about ICOA, their food pantry, and other ways they serve their community, we worshipped with them at their bilingual service.
Rushton Adopt-a-Family
As believers in Christ, we are reminded at Christmas of the wonderful gift given to us through the birth of our Savior, Jesus. We are called as His disciples to love our neighbors and to serve those in need. You are invited to serve a family from the Rushton community who are in need of our help. Please bring your WRAPPED gifts by Sunday, December 15.
