Wives Submitting to Husbands? An Explanation of the Colossians Reading for This Weekend
As we continue our summer sermon series studying the letter of Colossians together, we arrive at a portion of Paul’s letter that often creates unsettled feelings and discomfort for modern readers. There are two specific words that usually draw up strong emotions as we read and hear them. The first is the word submit and the second is bondservants. Let us look at the Scriptural usage and context of these words so that we may understand them rightly and in a God honoring way.

Savior of the nations, come, make here your home!
The hymn “Savior of the Nations, Come” has accompanied Christians on their Advent journey for hundreds of years. This annual service of seasonal music and moving readings from Holy Scripture is a spiritual oasis in the midst of the busy holiday hubbub, offering time for reflection, meditation, and peace. The offering will support Trinity’s ministry of Music and the Arts. A reception will follow the service.
Advent Devotionals 2024
Advent devotionals will be available at both campuses beginning November 23-24. Choose from a variety selected for different ages and stages.
Advent and Christmas Theme and Worship Schedule
During the season of Advent, the four weeks leading up to Christmas, our worship focuses on themes of waiting, preparation, and anticipation. As we prepare our homes for Christmas celebrations, we prepare our hearts through repentance and reflection. Our sermon series will dive into Isaiah 40:1-11, focusing on selected verses each week. Please join us for worship!
50+ Christmas Party Save the Date

Mission Campus
On December 11th all seniors are invited to our annual Christmas Party. The party will be in the Fellowship Hall at about 11:30am. The meal will be catered and will include all the traditional tastes of the season. We will once again enjoy a special Christmas program. We are requesting an RSVP by November 27. Sign-up online or in person at each campus. There is no cost for the meal, but we need to get an estimate of how many will be there. Hope to see you there!

Guatemala Mission Trip 2024
In February, 2024, a group of Trinity members participated in a mission trip to Panajachel, Guatemala to resume Trinity’s commitment to build a home for a family in need, donate shoes, sweaters, and medicines and spread God’s word.
Girls’ Night Out Christmas Gathering
ALL ladies are invited to attend the annual Girls’ Night Out Christmas Gathering at the Shawnee Campus. The event will take place on Monday, December 9, beginning at 5:30pm. If you are able, please bring your favorite appetizer or dessert to share. This is a simple event of shared food and conversation and is a great opportunity to make new friends, or to invite an old friend to come along! We hope you will join us and enjoy the love and company of other women!
