For those who are 50 and wiser, this study is designed just for you! Join us as we begin a new season of learning and fellowship. Our first gathering will be Wednesday, September 10, at 10:15am in the Fellowship Hall at the Mission Campus.
Back-to-School Blessing Walk
Families, you’re invited to take part in a special Blessing Walk to prayerfully prepare for the new school year!

(Scheduled on opposite campuses from the parent meetings)
This self-guided prayer walk is designed for families of all ages and stages to do together. It takes about 10 minutes and offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect, pray, and invite God’s guidance for the year ahead.
September 19 Construction Update
We are moving into the final phase of construction. Sidewalks, curbs, and roadwork continue with a plan to complete by the end of the month depending on weather. There are lots of details to finish up over the next 2-3 weeks and then the final cleaning will take place. Please be safe and avoid walking into areas that are still under construction.

Shawnee Call Committee – In-Person Interviews
After the Shawnee Campus Call Committee conducted our Zoom interview last week, it was decided to invite the pastor for in-person interviews. Our invitation was accepted and we will be having in-person call committee, executive committee, and staff interviews in the coming weeks as well as a visit during worship services at both campuses.
Call Extended for Mission Campus Lead Pastor
The Congregational Assembly approved a call for the Lead Pastor – Mission Campus to Pastor Mark Wood on Sunday, September 15. Please be sure to include the called pastor, Trinity and his current congregation in your prayers.

Shawnee Campus Lower Level
Whenever confirmation class is meeting at the Shawnee campus, this parents group will also meet. Parents get together to talk about life issues as parents of teens. We study God’s Word, discuss current issues, listen to each other, and pray for each other and for our youth.
Mission Mini Grants Awarded
The Missions Committee has sponsored a mini grant program for over ten years to fund a limited number of Trinity members’ service projects and ministries, funding an average amount of $2,500 per applicant. Eight organizations were awarded grants this year by a subcommittee of Trinity members who reviewed the mini grant requests submitted in June. Through your generous contributions Trinity is able to have a significant impact in our community and beyond.

Lutherans for Life Regional Conference and Concert
October 11-12
Hope Lutheran Church
Our sister congregation, Hope Lutheran Church in Shawnee, is pleased to invite Trinity members to a 15-state regional conference being hosted on October 12. Lutherans For Life invites you to join fellow life-minded Lutherans celebrating life and equipping ourselves on life issues during the LFL Regional Conference Midwest at Hope Lutheran Church in Shawnee, Kansas, on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
Congregational Assembly to Extend a Call
The Mission Call Committee has completed the site interview process and has recommended a candidate to the Executive Committee for a divine call to Trinity as the Lead Pastor – Mission Campus. A voter’s meeting has been scheduled for September 15 at 1pm at the Mission campus to consider the call committee’s recommendation and vote on issuing a call to the pastoral candidate recommended. Please continue to pray for God’s guidance throughout this process.
Shawnee Campus Call Committee August 29 Update
We have extended invitations to two pastors for onsite visits and interviews. Both are currently considering divine calls from other congregations. We are waiting to hear the outcome of these calls to know if they will come for a visit. Please continue to pray for our call process and for God to lead these two pastors where His will is for them.
