This Lenten season, we will be worshipping using Holden Evening Prayer at the 6 pm Wednesday midweek services at the Mission campus. Trinity has been using this service at our Shawnee campus for several years. It was written in 1985-86 by Marty Haugen while he was the musician-in-residence at Holden Village, a Lutheran retreat center in Washington state. It is a lovely setting for evening worship, accompanied by piano. Members of the Trinity Choir will help lead the congregation as we worship together.
Noon services at Mission will continue to include an organ prelude and several traditional Lenten hymns. As in the past, our worship schedule for Wednesday midweek services in Lent is as follows:
Mission campus noon and 6 pm
Shawnee campus 7 pm
The noon service will be live streamed each week. All three services will include the same scripture lesson and the same sermon.
