Israel’s monarchy failed miserably and led to a divided kingdom (1 Kings 12) and eventual exile (2 Kings 17:5; 2 Kings 25) because they sinned greatly (2 Kings 17:7) and rejected the word of the Lord (2 Kings 17:16) in spite of repeated warnings given by God’s prophets (1 Kings 18-19).
Jesus calls us to take up our cross and follow him.
Pastor Phil is currently seeking to discern between three calls: one to Our Redeemer, Wichita Falls, one to Trinity, Amarillo, and one to continue here as the Lead Pastor of the Shawnee Campus. Over the past several weeks, he has had the chance to visit both of those new congregations and learn about them. Many of you during this time have also been so kind as to keep this process in your prayers and share your thoughts with him.
23 high school students tried to escape from Civil War Jails and a Y2K virus. Only six of them were successful, but everyone had a great time! We are excited to see what this year brings in Sunday Evening youth group in our study, fun, and games. Thank you, Pastor Luke, for joining us! Check out the team photos from the night!
