This past weekend I took a side trip to Schwerin to visit some dear German friends. We worshiped together in the Lutheran chapel of the Castle in Schwerin. The chapel is beautiful and known for its ceiling. It was my first visit.
The Castle itself is very nice and the setting is spectacular. It is known as the Neuschwanstein of the North. It is a favorite.
I also had a chance to visit a museum of the former East-West border. It was very interesting to see the various barriers that were used to preclude “illegal” crossings.
