Saturday worship in the Castle Church was well attended. Mainly visitors from the USA (including Honolulu, HI) but also travelers from Denmark and Germany. Pastor Kim Sterner, Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Sun City West, AZ, led services this week.
There are reportedly over 1000 Ukrainian refugees in Wittenberg. The International Lutheran Center (in the Old Latin School) has opened its doors to them. All of the resident rooms are filled. On Sunday I stepped into the Ukrainian Lutheran Worship service held in the Center’s chapel. It is led by Ukrainian Pastors and well attended.
