Jesus is born! Now what? Christianity exploded across the Mediterranean world due to the extraordinary events in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. We will be studying Paul Maier’s book The First Christians. In a “you-are-there” style of writing, the author recreates the world, the mood, the people, and the exciting first years of Christianity.
Sunday, January 11, we will celebrate with all those who were baptized in 2025. For those families who will be celebrating this milestone, please remember to bring your baptismal candle with you. We will celebrate this remembrance toward the beginning of worship in all services at both Mission and Shawnee campuses.
From your Executive Committee, have a merry and blessed Christmas and a happy New Year! There was no December Executive Committee meeting, so there is nothing to report on that front, but we hope you are able to enjoy the holidays with family and friends.
Thank you to all those who donated money for the purchase of poinsettias to beautify the sanctuaries at both campuses for Christmas. Your generosity helped to make the services even more festive!

This group enjoys studying the depths of the Scriptures in order to really know what’s going on in God’s story. We enjoy good conversation, good questions, and a good sense of community each Sunday morning.
We are now studying the books of Exodus and Leviticus. You’re invited!
Epiphany, Sunday, January 4, 9:45 – 10:45am | Children’s ministry families, mark your calendar!
At both campuses, children are invited to wear their jammies to church this morning during the Sunday School hour! It is ok to wear their jammies in church too…we promise!
We will continue the Christmas story with a special event telling the Epiphany Story–the Journey of the Wise Men–to meet baby Jesus.
