This special announcement has been a long time coming! We are ready to resume in-person youth group for the high school students and the pandemic has reached a level where it feels safer to do so! Parents and students, please read through the following guidelines/expectations before coming.

  1. If you are sick (fever, cough, etc.) please stay home. If you don’t feel safe participating in-person, additional resources will be shared so you can continue to be in God’s Word with us.
  2. Students will be encouraged to be distant from each other. We will be meeting outside and will refrain from games that require close proximity and sharing of germs. If your student wants to wear a mask or sit farther away from the group, they will most definitely be able to do that!
  3. Trinity staff and volunteers will be present and will encourage students to respect the comfort levels of their peers. However, it will be up to the youth to maintain those parameters and the youth ministry team will not be strictly policing these. There is a level of risk with meeting together face to face and if you’re not comfortable with that risk, that is very understandable, and we support that family decision to stay home.

We are excited to be able to get together! Please keep in mind that this decision is slightly fluid. If something changes, youth group will go back to Zoom meetings instead. Updates will be shared in the high school GroupMe, so make sure your students have access to that!

We hope to see our high school students this coming Sunday, June 7, at 6:30pm at the Mission campus. Bring your own snacks (not for sharing). Feel free to bring your own chair, but chairs will also be available too!

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or compliments, you can reach me, Beth Stephens, at 316-213-8830 or by email, beth@tlcms.org.
