Sundays in Lent
Shawnee Campus, 9:45am

Since the earliest days of the church, Christians have observed the 40 days of Lent as a time of fasting and preparation for Easter. Traditionally, adult converts to the faith would spend the 40 days of Lent preparing for their baptism (at the end of the Saturday Vigil) and their first Communion (on Easter Sunday). For many Christians, Lent is still a time of studying, reviewing, and learning more deeply the basic tenets of our faith. Join us on the six Sundays in Lent, as we review the six chief parts of Luther’s Small Catechism. Class discussion allows us to apply these timeless truths in new ways to our lives.
