Some denominations ordain women, others state that only men may be pastors. Some churches include women among those who help to serve communion and read the Scripture lessons, others state that these activities are only to be done by men or even only by pastors. The most important question is, “What does the Bible say?”
Join Pastor Mark on Saturday morning, October 22, from 8:30-11:30am for a seminar on this often controversial topic. We will look in depth at “those passages” that are often used or challenged in regard to defining the roles of men and women. Discussion time will be incorporated into the event. The seminar will be held in the fellowship hall at Trinity’s Mission campus.
Passages to be discussed include:
- Genesis 1:26-2:2
- Ephesians 5:15-33
- Galatians 3:25-29
- 1 Corinthians 11:2-16
- 1 Corinthians 14:26-40
- 1 Timothy 2:1-15
- and 1 Peter 3:1-7
