Trinity’s Fall Kickoff Picnic was enjoyed by many. What a beautiful day for a picnic. The weather was great, and the fellowship was phenomenal!
We enjoyed a meal consisting of grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, along with a variety of delicious potluck side dishes and desserts. Special thanks to our grilling team led by Chris and Suzanne Cox and assisted by Earl Baxter and Doug Lewallen. Thanks to Gloria Garrelts for organizing our paper goods and to Gretchen Hollman for assistance in ordering food items. Thank you to Brandon Draper for bringing the portable sound system for music and announcements.
Along with fellowship time, there was cornhole, a playground, tic-tac-toe, parachutes, giant Jenga, and giant beach balls. The giant beach balls were later used for our “Pelt the Pastor” event to close our summer-long “Shake It Up Cafe” Sunday School Family event. Every child who signed up for the summer program received one chance to throw the balls. Congratulations to the Albrecht and Pendleton families for posting the most times throughout the summer and earning more chances to throw the beach balls. Following dinner, Pastor Luke called BINGO. Lots of laughter and prizes were shared.
We look forward to next year, as the picnic will become an annual event for Trinity, where we will kick off our fall ministries by gathering together for fun and fellowship.
