Trinity has had a long relationship in supporting Rushton Elementary School. We support them with our annual school supply drive, Adopt-a-Family Christmas collection, fall festival, and other programs. We have also supported with volunteers in the school. They are now seeking support to work directly with students who need assistance in a couple of areas. We are looking for 3-4 volunteers.
The description for assistance is below:
“There are nine Kindergarteners who are needing some help. Two of those would need to be in a group for Social-emotional learning; the others would be high academics. I believe we can split those seven up into two groups, so one group would have three and the other four.”
They are looking for someone who can volunteer weekly, or even twice a week to work with the children. Right now the timeframe would be 10:50-11:20am any day of the week.
Rushton will provide the materials to use with the kids. Volunteers will need My Volunteer Pal (MVP) training which will be provided by Katie Schwenk, the school social worker.
Please contact Rhonda Synovec by September 30 at rhonda@tlcms.org if you can help.
