


Advent and Christmas 2019 Worship Schedule and Theme
Once again, the beautiful and meaningful season of Advent is upon us and our theme this year comes from Charles Wesley’s (1707-1788) great hymn, “Lo, He Comes with Clouds Descending”

Advent Lessons and Carols: “E’en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come”
Trinity’s annual Advent Lessons and Carols is given this year in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of American organist and Lutheran composer Dr. Paul O. Manz. Paul Manz is largely credited with the creation of the modern hymn festival and over the course of his long and fruitful career he wrote and played thousands of hymn festivals.

Devotions and Studies for the Heart of Advent
The season of Advent is itself a gift and I encourage you to take the time to receive it. Prepare your hearts for the Christ who is, who was, who will come again—notice him. Somehow, this time of year lends itself well to such seeing, and I hope these devotional tools and study opportunities help you in the journey.
